Built properly, from the ground up.

The story

Emelie and Ed in flower crowns, smiling in front of an old brick wall.

Origin Media started in 2016. For five years we designed and built websites and brands for small businesses, mostly owner-run, mostly the kind of company where you can taste, touch or visit the thing they make.

In 2021 we stepped back to restore a farmhouse. It took longer than planned, as these things do: beams, walls, roofs, and a lot of learning about what lasts and what doesn't. Those are the narrow rings in the middle of our timeline. We took on very little: one shop for Målerås Stockholm in 2023, and in 2024 we started Piemontissimo, a brand and online shop of our own.

In 2026 we reopened the studio with a different way of building. We no longer use page builders or off-the-shelf templates. Every site is designed from scratch and built to be fast, secure and easy for you to keep up to date.

The people

You talk to the people doing the work, from the first call to long after launch.

Design and build

Ed designs and builds every site, from the first sketch to launch.

Projects, client care and maintenance

Emelie runs each project, keeps everything on schedule, and looks after your site once it's live.

How we work

  1. One point first

Every project starts with the one thing your business does best. Everything else grows from there.

  2. You talk to the makers

No account managers and no handovers to people you've never met.

  3. No templates

Each site is designed for one business, then built so you can keep it fresh yourself.

  4. Honest work

Fixed prices, clear timelines, and no invented numbers in our own marketing or in yours.

Tell us what you're building.
